CALL FOR JOINT R&I ACTIONS ITALY-UZBEKISTAN 2025
The Ministry of University and Research (MUR) has published the Italy-Uzbekistan call for joint R&I actions aimed at supporting research projects, mobility, and training for scholars and researchers, access to infrastructures, and strengthening innovation ecosystems. The deadline is April 15, 2025, at 12:00 CEST.
Project proposals must carry out joint activities (up to a maximum of two types of activities) in the following areas: fundamental and/or industrial research interventions; individual mobility of teachers and researchers; higher education and training activities; innovation ecosystems.
Sapienza as Lead Organisation
The call stipulates that each institution (including Sapienza University) can participate with only one project proposal as the Lead Organisation (Art. 3.2 of the supplementary notice). Therefore, in order to coordinate the University’s proposals, faculty members interested in submitting a proposal where Sapienza is the lead organisation must complete the appropriate FORM by March 13, 2025, at 11:59 AM.
Proposals will be evaluated by a University Commission, appointed by the Rector, based on the criteria outlined in the Call.
For information on the call, please read the specific ministerial page.
In particular:
-
the schema di disciplinare (as well as the proposal) must be signed by the legal representative (Rector);
-
the capitolato may be signed by the proposal's scientific director, whose CV must be attached at the end of the pre-proposal.
Within fifteen days of the call deadline, the above documents, duly completed, must be sent to the Scientific Cooperation and Networks Unit cooperazionepvs@uniroma1.it together with the following documents (templates are available in the Downloads section of this page):
-
project concept notes;
-
project budget;
-
letter of indemnity, signed by the Director and the Department's RAD, confirming the Department's willingness to cover the co-financing costs and all other charges deriving from the possible funding.
PLEASE NOTE: It is recommended to read the Linee guida sulla ricerca in ambito “dual use”
PLEAE NOTE: upon completion of the application on the ministerial platform, the funding application will be produced, which must also be signed by the organisation's legal representative and uploaded onto the platform.
It is therefore advisable to proceed with the application well in advance of the deadline of the call for applications in order to acquire the signature of the Rector in good time.

Lecturers interested in submitting a project proposal in which Sapienza is a partner must instead send the following documents (templates are available in the Downloads section of this page) to the Scientific Cooperation and Networks Unit cooperazionepvs@uniroma1.it no later than April 7, 2025 at 11.59 AM
