Sapienza Festival: La dignità inquieta
As part of Sapienza's Outreach and Public Engagement initiatives, also aimed at a non-academic audience and designed to raise awareness of civil rights, gender equality, social equity and the value of dignity, "Festival della Sapienza: La dignità inquieta" (restless dignity) is inspired by Martin Luther King's humanitarian message and his invitation to practise creative and non-violent forms of protest to achieve social justice objectives, fighting all forms of prevarication, marginalisation and repression of freedom of thought and expression. The Festival will take place at the Nuovo Teatro Ateneo and on the Main Campus on September 25 and 26, 2025.
The Call is for professional performing arts organisations, social promotion associations or any private entity operating in the cultural sector, which present theatrical, multimedia or musical performances that address issues centred on the principle of human dignity, as an absolute and non-negotiable universal value, aimed at guaranteeing respect for each individual, their physical integrity, responsible freedom and irreducible personal value.
Applications may be submitted from 10:00 AM on May 7, 2025 until 3:00 PM on June 9, 2025, exclusively by filling out the following form (in Italian).
