Student opinion survey (OPIS)
As requested by the Self-Assessment, Evaluation and Accreditation system (Italian acronym: AVA), students must complete the 'Online Student Opinion Questionnaire'.
Once they have reached at least 2/3 of their teaching activity, each lecturer must give their students at least 15 minutes to complete their questionnaires during class using mobile devices. As a further option, for students who have yet to fill in the assessment, the system, as usual, requires students to do it when they register for their exam. The questionnaire covers all courses that conclude with an exam or a proficiency test. Each student only has to assess those subjects in their study plan for which they still need to take the exam, regardless of the year of enrolment.
There is a short tutorial in the "Downloads" section to help students fill in the questionnaires. Since 2019-20, due to the health emergency, the survey has also covered questions on different elements of distance learning (such as lectures and exams, modalities, study material etc.) providing a filter question so that students who have participated in online teaching activities can also view and complete targeted questions.
Professors, Deans, Department Directors, Programme Coordinators, Professor-Student Joint Committee, and Monitoring Committee, through a specific app (in Italian), can analyse the OPIS survey results of their relevance.
