The tuition fee is reduced on the basis of precise combinations of one's Isee 2024 value for the right to academic education (Art. 19), the year of the course in which one is enrolled and the ECTS acquired between August 10, 2023, and August 10, 2024. The amounts shown in Table 1 are not valid for:

-      those who chose part-time learning (art. 50);

-      those who are enrolled in degree programmes that require fixed tuition fees, as set out in Article 26;

-      those who have obtained the recognition of credits acquired in previous careers interrupted by renunciation (Art. 48) or forfeiture (Art. 35) or concluded with the award of a degree (Art. 49), only for the year of recognition.

In addition, the reductions referred to in this Article are not valid:

-      ECTS obtained by passing extracurricular exams under Art. 6 (art. 42);

-      ECTS obtained from passing integrations of exams;

-      ECTS obtained by passing exams for single courses (art. 41);

-      ECTS obtained by recognition of exams for transfer from another university (art. 44).

For the purposes of the payment of tuition fees and the allocation of other benefits (scholarships, etc.), in the event of a degree programme change (Art. 10) or a transfer from another university (Art. 44), the amounts will be determined by counting the years starting from the year of first enrolment and not from the year of enrolment following the degree programme change/transfer.

The Decree of the Ministry of the University of August 3, 2021 no. 1014 provides for complete exemption from the payment of tuition fees (no tax area) for students with Isee for the right to academic education of up to €22,000, in the presence of merit requirements provided for by Law 232/2016.

The same Ministerial Decree 1014/2021 also provides for reduced amounts for students with Isee for the right to academic education up to €30,000, subject to the aforementioned merit requirements.

The Board of Governors of Sapienza University in its meeting of July 21, 2020, had already resolved to extend the no-tax area to students with an Isee for the right to academic education of up to €24,000, in the presence of the merit requirements envisaged by Law 232/2016.

The same resolution provides for further concessions for students enrolling from the second year fuoricorso. These concessions are also applied for the academic year 2024-2025.

The regional tax and stamp duty must be added to the sums indicated.

The student career management system is configured in such a way as to present the most favourable position, resulting from the comparison of the ordinary taxation of Sapienza University with the legal provisions.

The amounts of tuition fees with an Isee value greater than €28,041.10 are determined exclusively on the basis of Sapienza University parameters since they are more favourable than the application of the calculation criteria set out in Ministerial Decree 1014/2021 as established by the Board of Governors on June 8, 2017, with resolution 219/17. The same resolution established the "Bonus Sapienza", a reduction that applies to those who are enrolled in a programme and declare an Isee value up to 40,000.00.
