1. Compliance with admission procedures. Those coming from other Italian universities, military academies or other military institutes of higher education may apply to transfer to a degree programme at Sapienza University in accordance with Ministerial Decree 270/04.
The transfer must take place in compliance with the admission requirements and procedures laid down for the chosen programme. In this regard, the rules and deadlines for degree programme changes described in these Regulations in Article 10 shall apply.
2. Application submission. In order to obtain a transfer, an application must be submitted to the university of origin in accordance with the procedures laid down by that administration and the following documents submitted to Sapienza University (within the enrolment deadlines for each degree programme):
a. transfer notification (on plain paper) drafted on the Incoming Transfer Form ("Trasferimento in entrata") published on the University website at www.uniroma1.it in the Student Forms section;
b. copy of the transfer application submitted to the university of origin.
On the transfer notification to Sapienza University of Rome, it will be necessary to indicate the student ID number obtained through registration with the Infostud system (https://www.studenti.uniroma1.it/phoenixreg/#/).
On the Infostud system, you will also need to enter your identity document in your personal profile and indicate the Isee option (art. 19).
The transfer is effective from the date of payment of the incoming transfer fee.
3. Payments. The Student Affairs Office will produce on Infostud (after the necessary verifications related to the admission methods to each programme) a payment of €65 for the reimbursement of transfer fees. After payment of this amount, the Student Affairs Office will produce (always on Infostud) the amount due for payment of the first instalment of tuition fees (or of the first and second instalments, if the transfer is made after November 5, 2024), of the regional tax for the right to education and of the stamp duty. Those who come from universities with registered offices in the Lazio Region and have already paid the fee for the new academic year at their university of origin do not have to pay the regional fee again. In this case, it is necessary to contact the relevant Student Affairs Office, which will proceed to remove the regional tax from the amount, subject to proof of the documentation. The amounts must be paid by the date indicated in correspondence with the amount due on Infostud.
4. Recognition of exams and possible degree programme shortening. The procedures and deadlines indicated for degree programme changes in Article 10 apply. By virtue of the change of enrolment year, after the decision of the educational bodies, the system may produce an adjustment on the amount of tuition fees. Any exams pertaining to student careers other than that of the degree programme of origin will be recognised at the discretion of the educational bodies.
For the purposes of calculating tuition fees, the last year in which contributions were paid at the university in which the exams for which recognition is requested were taken will be taken into account.
5. Those who have a degree obtained in a foreign education system and are enrolled at an Italian university must contact the Hello - International Student Office after submitting the application and payment. Please note that educational qualifications obtained in a foreign education system must be finalised as described in Article 16, paragraph 4 of these Regulations.
6. Revocation. The transfer application may be revoked within 7 days from the date of payment at this University, and only the first instalment of the tuition fees will be refunded.
7. Exams. Following the transfer, it is possible to take exams as of the first session scheduled for freshmen in the 2024-2025 academic year (end of the first term/semester), and after the assessment of the study plan at the university of origin, by the Degree Programme Board, has been recorded in the Infostud computer system.
8. Part-time learning. Those who have transferred and wish to change to part-time learning (Art. 50) may submit their request from September of the year following the year in which they transferred.
9. Transfer from the same degree programme at another Italian or foreign university for degree programmes with national or local restricted access. For these programmes, special transfer calls for applications are published annually on the web page of the student affairs office of reference, if there are places available in years subsequent to the first.
