Sapienza Promotes Sustainable Development Goals for the Agenda 2030

As part of the “Fridays for Future” initiative, on September 27, the Rector has authorised faculty to accept student absences and possibly organise make-up lessons.

Sapienza University is well aware that the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals for the Agenda 2030 requires a strong commitment by all parts of society and, in particular, by institutions whose mission it is to educate and promote knowledge. Sapienza aims to embody the idea of development proposed and promoted by the United Nations and is committed to concretely pursue the 17 SDGs through a range of projects and activities.

Sapienza University welcomes the indications of Italian Minister Fioramonti, who has invited all Italian universities to advertise and promote the 17 SDGs. The battle to save the planet is today’s greatest challenge, a challenge for survival that can help make the world a fairer place.

As part of the “Fridays for Future” initiative, on September 27, the Rector has authorised faculty to accept student absences and possibly organise make-up lessons. All exam and graduation sessions will be regularly scheduled.

These activities are also part of the greater Sapienza project for energetic and environmental sustainability.
