Project YouTrailer promoted by the Department of Communications and Social Research, in collaboration with the National Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery and the support of MIUR and MIBAC, is promoting an initiative to involve junior high students in a promo competition for Italian cinematographic masterpieces. These movies that never had trailers, but now students can “launch” masterpieces of the 20^th century in this fashion.

Students are free to work individually or in groups to provide their generation’s view on older movie through modern communication techniques and tools. Trailers may be produced by using single movie sequences or through animations, comics, remixing or with newly shot scenes.

The best submissions will be evaluated by a jury of directors, producers, distributors, actors and critics. Awards will be presented at a national event in Autumn 2019.

The initiative is coordinated by Mihaela Gavrila from the Department of Communications and Social Research and Director Roberto Faenza. 

The deadline for submissions is October 31.
