Certified E-Mail (PEC)

What’s PEC?
Certified E-Mail (PEC) is a webmail system with legal value that states the transmission of digital documents.

Sapienza University PEC can only receive e-mails sent from another PEC e-mail. E-mail sent from different mailboxes will be automathically rejected.

Sapienza University PEC protocollosapienza@cert.uniroma1.it (link sends e-mail) is only for communication sent to the Administrative Office and can’t be emploied to send and receive PEC for other Sapienza structures (faculties, departments etc).

Requests for PEC recipients different from the Administrative Office can be sent with regular e-mail at the Public Relations and Information Office e-mail urp@uniroma1.it (link sends e-mail); or to the HELLO Centre for Students Orientation hello@uniroma1.it (link sends e-mail).

Achievements

In addition to the e-mail boxes, it started for a limited number of users, the testing of an internal certified e-mail service for communication between students and universities.

Its naming is structured as follows: surname.matriculationnumber@pec.studenti.uniroma1.it.

The access credentials are those the students have for their regular university mailbox.
Internal PEC e-mails for students are still being tested.
