Cyber 4.0 competence centre on the shortlist for the European Digital Innovation Hubs competition

The Italian Ministry of Economic Development has included the Cyber 4.0 Competence Centre in the national shortlist identifying the Italian clusters that will participate in the competition for the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH)

The Cyber 4.0 Competence Centre, coordinated by Sapienza and chaired by Teodoro Valente, has been included by the Ministry of Economic Development in the national shortlist that identifies the Italian clusters that will participate in the restricted competition for the European Digital Innovation Hubs. EDIH is part of the Digital Europe Programme. The European Commission has earmarked 7.5 billion in the 2021-2027 multiannual budget for the digitisation project.

Among the 45 projects selected, there are all the proposals in which a National Centre of Competence is involved, often as lead partner. Cyber 4.0 is part of a network of 8 Italian Competence Centres, a solid reality that crosses the country and represents a benchmark for national companies, dealing with training, technology transfer in the field of 4.0 and management of calls for high-tech innovation projects.

Final approval by the European Commission will be given next April.
