Art. 24 - SERVICES FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES AND SPECIFIC LEARNING DIFFICULTIES


 

1.    Declaration of Specific Learning Difficulty on Infostud. Students with Specific Learning Difficulties follow the enrolment rules for all students and must declare their status on Infostud.

2.    Recognition of Specific Learning Difficulty. For Specific Learning Difficulties to be recognised, it is necessary to present a certificate with the diagnosis of a Specific Learning Difficulty in accordance with the criteria of the Consensus Conference (2011) to the dedicated service at the Unit for Students with Disabilities and Specific Learning Difficulties. The certificate must include the nosographic codes and the explicit wording of the Specific Learning Difficulty and contain the necessary information to understand the individual characteristics of each person, with an indication of their respective areas of strength and weakness.

Certificates issued by National Health Service facilities or by bodies or professionals accredited by the Regions are valid. As provided for by Law no. 170 of 2010 and the subsequent State-Regions Agreement of July 24, 2012, the diagnosis must be updated after 3 years if made for a student under the age of 18; it is not compulsory to be updated if made after the student's 18th birthday.

3.    Exemption for Specific Learning Difficulty. Those enrolled in the first year or in years subsequent to the first year and in possession of a certificate with a diagnosis of Specific Learning Difficulty as set out in paragraph 2 above are required to pay the regional tax and €16 stamp duty every year, pursuant to the Board of Governors' resolution of July 22, 2021. The exemption is also provided for enrolment in single courses under Art. 41 of these Regulations (Board of Governors' resolution of October 28, 2021).

4.    Benefits application. The application of benefits is carried out on the basis of the indications of the Unit for Students with Learning Difficulties, in accordance with the specific regulations.

5.    Fines. Students referred to in paragraph 2 are liable to pay possible fines (in the ordinary amount) for late or missing payments.

6.    Isee 2024. Students referred to in paragraph 2 of this Article are not required to have their Isee 2024 value for the right to academic education acquired on Infostud.

7.    University Specific Learning Difficulties Counselling Service. The monitoring of the careers of students with Specific Learning Difficulties is supported by the University's Specific Learning Difficulties Counselling Service in collaboration with the referring professors of the respective Faculties.
