Photo exhibition: On the set of Pasolini's Medea

At the Museum of Classical Art (Arts and Humanities building) from March 4 to November 2 a photographic exhibition dedicated to Pier Paolo Pasolini, the Italian film director, poet, writer, playwright and political figure

From March 4 to November 2, 2022, Sapienza's Museum of Classical Art will be hosting the exhibition "On the set of Medea", dedicated to Pier Paolo Pasolini, the Italian film director, poet, writer, playwright and political figure, on the centenary of his birth (March 5, 1922 - November 2, 1975). On display, there are scene photos by Mimmo Cattarinich.

The exhibition was inaugurated on March 4. Rector Antonella Polimeni, Stefano Di Tommaso, Armando Cattarinich and the co-producer of "Medea" Marina Cicogna attendend the event that included an in-depth seminar, with talks by Elena Fabbro of the University of Udine and Valerio Coladonato of Sapienza University and a screening of the film "Medea".

The exhibition has been organised by Sapienza Museums and the Faculty of Arts and Humanities in collaboration with the Department of History, Anthropology, Religions, Art and Performing Arts. The displayed photographs are part of Stefano De Tommaso e Armando Cattarinich's private collections.
