Startup University Academy, launched on May 18th in the Great Hall (Aula Magna), this initiative—promoted by the Lazio Region and Lazio Innova—represents far more than a one-off event; it marks the start of a structured, free program dedicated to innovative entrepreneurship. The program offers two parallel tracks to support growth, depending on the project's stage:
1. Track for Individuals or Teams: Designed for teams not yet formally established (2+ people) or individual innovators looking to validate a project idea. The program roadmap (June–November):
- Build Your Startup Mindset – Acquiring an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Power Up Your Team – Strengthening the team structure.
- Shape Your Idea / Meet Your Mentor – Dedicated mentorship sessions.
- Pitch Your Vision – Project presentation.
- Reverse Your Vision – Refining the business model.
- Fund Your Future – Final event connecting with funding sources.
2. Track for Established Startups & Spin-offs: A fast-track route focused on industrial acceleration and direct contact with major investors. The pillars of acceleration:
Sprint Investor Lab: An intensive 2-week program featuring lectures, one-on-one sessions, and targeted mentoring activities. Focus areas: financial mindset, Venture Capital logic, pitch deck optimization, and advanced public speaking simulations.
University Investor Day: An exclusive, high-level networking event designed to showcase investment opportunities and facilitate direct B2B meetings with key market players.
Technology Transfer Lazio (TT Lazio) is the programme, that supports research teams and spin-offs in transforming scientific results into business opportunities. The programme is aimed at research teams (minimum 3 people, with at least one researcher involved in the project) and innovative start-ups established for less than 36 months (TRL ≥ 4), in the fields of Life Sciences, Energy and the Environment, and Space Economics. The deadline for applications to the programme is 30 June 2026, at 5.00 pm.
