AstroDarkLS project wins ERC Starting Grant and comes to Sapienza
The European Research Council (ERC) has awarded the dark matter research project AstroDarkLS, proposed by Andrea Caputo as Principal Investigator, who has chosen Sapienza's Department of Physics to carry out this research.
The AstroDarkLS project aims to use new astrophysical and cosmological data to investigate the nature of dark matter. In particular, it will study the impact of new particles - already hypothesised and studied at the theoretical level, such as axions - in the context of phenomena such as supernovae and Lyman-alpha forests, and observational techniques such as line intensity mapping. AstroDarkLS is an interdisciplinary activity that combines theoretical particle physics with astrophysics and cosmology.
