Call for applications open for 14 MSCA doctoral scholarships for the European SpaXio project

Applications are now open to recruit 14 PhD students as part of the SpaXio project, funded by Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) and supported by the CIVIS alliance

The call for applications for 14 doctoral scholarships within the SpaXio project, Spatial crosstalk in immuno-oncology, funded by Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), supported by the CIVIS alliance and coordinated by Paris-Lodron University in Salzburg, is now online

Born out of a CIVIS funding project, SpaXio brings together leading cancer researchers in Austria, Germany, France, Switzerland and Spain. Using spatial multi-omics, 3D tumour oids and AI-based analysis, the 14 interdisciplinary doctoral projects will decode the dynamic processes of metastasis, where cancer, metabolism and the immune system converge. Selected candidates will join an international network of universities, research institutes and industrial partners, benefiting from advanced training, mobility and cross-sector collaboration.

Applications are open until November 8, 2025.
Further details about the project are available on the SpaXio webpage and the CIVIS website.
