The brilliant orchestra conductor Enrico Saverio Pagano and his Canova Chamber Orchestra, described by the Italian newspaper La Repubblica as 'one of the best young orchestras around', open the 79th season of the IUC - Istituzione universitaria dei concerti (Friday, October 13  at 8.30 p.m. and Saturday, October 14 at 5.30 p.m.) with two classics of the symphonic repertoire: Beethoven's Fifth Symphony and Chopin's Second Piano Concerto.

Also pianist Leonora Armellini, the first Italian woman to have climbed to the top of the prestigious Warsaw Chopin Competition, returns at Sapienza after the success of last year's Chopin recital.
