Dante and the four subjects of the Quadrivium

On Wednesday, April 14, 2021, from 10.30 am, the online event "Dante e il Quadrivio delle Scienze" was organised as part of the celebrations for the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death
The conference, held in Italian and organised by the Fondazione Roma Sapienza and the Department of Biochemical Sciences "Alessandro Rossi Fanelli", analysed the work and thought of the great Italian poet, Dante Alighieri, from a scientific point of view and examined the influence of the scientific knowledge of the time on Dante's work.
Experts in humanities and sciences talked about the relationship between Dante Alighieri's work and way of thinking and the subjects of the Quadrivium: arithmetic, geometry, astronomy and music.
