As part of the initiatives for the European Year of Youth 2022, the European Commission has launched the EU TalentOn initiative, aimed at reducing the gap between young talent, science and industry.

The initiative will be focused on an event, to be held from September 14 to 18, 2022, in Leiden (European City of Science 2022), open to young researchers from all over Europe, aged 21 to 30, and based on a competition in which participants, grouped in teams, will compete to find the best solutions to the global challenges of today and tomorrow and in particular to the 5 Missions of the EU programme Horizon Europe:

• Adapting to climate change;
• Preventing of and dealing with cancer;
• Smart and climate-neutral cities;
• Restoring soil;
• Restoring oceans and water

Applications must be submitted by July 1, 2022, by filling in the online application form.

Selected participants will be reimbursed for their travel, board and lodging expenses.
