
The Italian Institute of Oriental Studies Reading Room is now open until Midnight
On Monday, December 3, the Italian Institute of Oriental Studies will inaugurate the night-time opening of its reading room. Access to the Marco Polo Complex will be regulated by an automatic system, which will require students to obtain a special card (badge) for access after 8 pm.
Reading Room Opening Hours (Night Time and Holidays):
- Monday – Thursday: 8:15 pm – 12:00 (midnight)
- Friday: 3:15 – 7:00 pm and 8:15 – 10:00 pm
- Saturday: 9:00 am – 12:45 and 1:15 – 10:00 pm
- Sundays/Holidays: 9:00 am – 10:00 pm
The reading room will be closed on Sunday, December 1st 2019.
The reading rooms are equipped with a closed-circuit video surveillance system connected to the University Surveillance Unit.
Sapienza also has three other reading rooms that are open overnight, as well as on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, located in the Earth Science Library (entrance at the Geology Building, CU005), Private Law Library (Faculty of Law, Tecce Complex, CU018) and Basic and Applied Science for Engineering Library (Ghizzetti Reading Room, Via Antonio Scarpa 16, RM007).
