24H Reading Rooms
Sapienza has five 24-hour reading rooms. Access is reserved to regularly enrolled Sapienza students holding the student card.
New Umberto I General Hospital reading room
The 24-hour Umberto I General Hospital reading room can be reached from viale del Policlinico 155 and viale Regina Elena 324 gates (see map).
To access this space it is necessary to activate the student card; if the student card is not owned, a magnetic tag will be issued in place of the card.
Starting from Monday 12 June, students can activate the student card or receive the magnetic tag visiting the study areas every day from 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. where there will be the designated staff. The tag, as well as the student card, are strictly personal and not transferable to others.

Monday-Friday
- Umberto I General Hospital: always open.
- Earth Sciences: closes at 8 pm.
- Faculty of Law - Private law: closes at 8 pm.
- Basic and Applied Sciences for Engineering Library: 8 am - 8 pm
- Oriental studies: 3:30 pm - 12 pm. Reopening on September 25.
Saturday and Sunday
- Umberto I General Hospital: always open.
- Earth Sciences: 8 am - 8 pm.
- Faculty of Law - Private law: 8 am - 8 pm.
- Basic and Applied Sciences for Engineering Library: 8 am - 8 pm.
- Oriental studies: 9 am - 7 pm. Reopening on September 25.
One-hour closures are required for cleaning.
