Meeting with Delegation from University of Pittsburgh (USA)
On June 3, a prestigious delegation from the University of Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania, USA) was received at Sapienza University.
The delegation, led by Patrick Chancellor David Gallagher, included: Arthur S. Levine, Senior Vice Chancellor for the Health Sciences and Petersen Dean of Medicine, Maggie McDonald, Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and International Projects - Health Sciences, Deanne J. Haag, Senior Director Regional and National Marketing – UPMC, Simona Abbro, Senior Director Marketing Communications and Public Relations – Senior Staff Associate UPMC Italy, Bruno Gridelli, Executive Vice President - UPMC International Director UPMC Italy, Professor of Surgery University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Ariel Armony, Vice Provost for Global Affairs - Director of University Center for International Studies and Giovanni Vizzini, Scientific Director UPMC Italy.
The delegation was welcomed by Sapienza Rector Eugenio Gaudio, Luciano Saso, Deputy Rector for European University Networks, Massimo Volpe, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology, Diego Ribuffo, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Daniela De Biase, Faculty of Pharmacy, and Giovanni Maria Vianello, Head of the International Agreements Sector, International Office.
During the meeting, which focused on strategies and opportunities, a memorandum was signed to kick off collaboration in medical research activities and student and researcher mobility.
