New space for students on Sapienza's Main Campus

A new 400-square-metre study space was inaugurated on Sapienza's Main Campus

On Monday, October 17, 2022, a new study space was inaugurated on Sapienza's Main Campus. The new study room is on the ground floor of the Chemistry building and is freely accessible to the entire student community.

This is Sapienza's largest study space: the 400-square-metre area - in addition to mezzanines of approximately 113 square metres - has 140 seats, an independent entrance, 8 am to 7.30 pm, and new 24-hour services in the future. The inclusive premises, with full wi-fi connection, are ideal for study and research, cultural initiatives and get-togethers.

"Today's inauguration represents a further tangible sign, perhaps the most evident in terms of size, of a new way of managing and using spaces and facilities," highlights Rector Antonella Polimeni. "We wanted to create a multi-level space, organised according to the best criteria for using surfaces, modern, equipped with charging stations for mobile devices, capable of accommodating several hundred students and guaranteeing full usability".
