Return to campus: Sapienza ramps up in-person lectures
From October 18, lectures for all degree programmes (Bachelor's, Master's, PhDs, Advanced Professional Courses) will be held face-to-face for a number of students equal to 80% of each classroom's available seats. Distance learning will also be guaranteed for fragile students who cannot attend in person for health reasons and for those unable to book a seat in the classroom.
Exams will also be held in person. Fragile students, those who are self-isolating or exempt from the COVID-19 vaccination or for justified needs assessed by each faculty, can take their exams online. As of November 22, there will be a 100% return to face-to-face lectures unless the epidemiological trend changes.
University libraries, reading rooms, study rooms, laboratories and other facilities providing services to students will be open for 80% of their original capacity. Orientation and tutoring activities, internships, laboratory activities and exercises will be carried out mainly in person.
The Ministry of University and Research, based on the positive weekly epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health/ISS, the continuous decrease in the weekly incidence at the national level and the extent, especially in Lazio, of vaccination coverage achieved, has stressed the need for a safe return to normality.
