Sapienza with Admo: on November 15 join the national bone marrow donor registry
On November 15, 2022, on the Main Campus, near Ciao - Hello (Rectorate Building's portico), Admo -Associazione donatori di midollo osseo (Bone Marrow Donor Association), will be presenting its activities from 8.30 am to 3 pm.
Those who wish to be included in the donor registry will undergo a simple blood test, from which genetic information will be obtained.
People aged between 18 and 35 can be included in the national bone marrow donor registry. The registry is the key tool for identifying potential compatible donors when finding them within the family has not been possible. Bone marrow cell transplant can cure diseases such as thalassaemia, leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and, in some cases, solid tumours and autoimmune diseases.
On November 15, you, too, can join the donor registry!
