On Monday, May 27,2019 the executive protocol between La Sapienza and the School of European Languages and Cultures of the Beijing Foreign Studies University for the development of collaboration was signed by the rector Eugenio Gaudio and the director of the Department of Antiquities, Giorgio Piras, scientific and educational area in the Classics area between the two institutions.

The protocol, signed for the Chinese university by the rector, Peng Long and the principal, Zhao Gang, is the first agreement signed between an Italian university and a Chinese university in the field of classical subjects and confirms the international prestige of the antiquity area of Sapienza, already widely established in the international rankings.
