Sapienza community solidarity with Rector Polimeni after the attack on March 1
At today's meeting, the Academic Senate, also endorsing the document of the Interdepartmental Coordination Committee, expressed its outrage at the demonstrative act that took place on March 1, perpetrated by a small group of students who smeared red paint on photographic material portraying the toga-clad Rector in the exercise of her duties at the opening of the Academic Year. It is an action that offends the Sapienza community, and it is all the more unjust and unmotivated in light of the unprecedented policies and measures implemented by our University's current leadership to promote inclusion, equality and the overcoming of all inequalities, and to combat all forms of gender-based violence.
