Luciano Saso, Sapienza Deputy Rector for European University Networks, has been re-elected as President of UNICA, the network of universities of European capital cities. Sapienza University is one of the founders of the network that now includes 46 universities in 35 European capitals and involves ca. 1,800,000 students.

UNICA’s mission is to promote academic excellence, integration and cooperation amongst universities in Central and Eastern Europe through the creation of a shared international protocol.
