
Sapienza mourns Gabriele, an engineering student killed in a tragic accident
Rector Antonella Polimeni, personally and on behalf of the entire University community, expresses her deepest condolences for the tragic death of Gabriele Sangineto, a mechanical engineering student. Gabriele lived in Sacrofano, near Rome, and was only 21 years old when he was hit by a car and then by a taxi at the pedestrian crossing on Via Flaminia near Labaro station on Thursday morning.
Sapienza sends its condolences to Gabriele's family, loved ones and colleagues.
Another painful and avoidable event calls everyone to a collective responsibility on this issue. Sapienza reaffirms its commitment to promoting a culture of road safety in order to prevent the senseless tragedies that all too often claim the lives of young people.
