On behalf of herself and the entire university community, Rector Antonella Polimeni expresses her deep sorrow for the passing of Antonietta Moramarco, Professor of Ophthalmology at the Department of Sense Organs.

A graduate in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bari, Moramarco specialised in Ophthalmology at Sapienza University in 1991. In 1998, she won a public competition to become a university researcher and first level medical director at our University in the Department of Ophthalmological Sciences at the Policlinico Umberto I General Hospital.
