Sapienza once again first in Italy for Cwur

Sapienza leads the Italian ranking and is 116th in the world out of two thousand universities examined

On May 10, Cwur published its 2023 world rankings, which takes into consideration 2000 universities out of 20,531 surveyed.

Sapienza is once again first in Italy and 116th in the world, with a score of 81.2.

The Center for World University Rankings assesses four indicators: Education, Employability, Faculty and Research. Education calculates the number of alumni and alumnae who have obtained prestigious academic awards compared to the size of the university (25%); Employability, the number of alumni and alumnae who hold top positions in large companies (25%); Faculty, the number of lecturers who have won prestigious academic awards (10%); Research takes into consideration high-quality publications, number of articles in highly influential journals and citations (40%).

The top position in 2023 is for Harvard. Among Italian universities, after Sapienza come Padua (171), Milan (180) and Bologna (185).
