Theatron - Ancient Theatre at Sapienza at Radio Vaticana

The students participating in Theatron project have recorder The Trojan Women by Euripides at Radio Vaticana. The tragedy will be aired in episodes every Monday with two performances.

Theatron - Ancient Theatre at Sapienza promotes theatre in the radio with a radio arrangement of previously staged Greek Tragedies. The students from the teatrical workshop have recorded The Trojan Women by Euripides at Radio Vaticana, which will be aired in episodes every Monday of November with two performances: at 14.35 and at 22.30.

Project Theatron – Ancient Theatre at Sapienza is coordinated by Anna Maria Belardinelli, Professor of Classical Philology at Sapienza University, has translated and staged ancient theatrical texts since 2010.

The spirit of Theatron is based on communication and creates a strong synergy between the two workshops, traslation and theatrical, directed by Adriano Evangelisti. This relationship is aimed at revitalise the true nature of ancient theatre, where dramas were staged in a choral dimension for a collective, rather than elite, audience.
