Un panettone per la vita. Recruitment event for potential new bone marrow donors

On Tuesday, December 13, the Associazione donatori di midollo osseo - Admo (Bone Marrow Donor Association), in collaboration with Sapienza University, will set up an information stall to recruit new potential bone marrow stem cell donors. Traditional Italian Christmas puddings panettone and pandoro will also be distributed

On December 13, 2022, the Associazione donatori di midollo osseo - Admo (Bone Marrow Donor Association) will be on the Main Campus near the Ciao -Hello (Rectorate building's portico) from 8.30 am to 3 pm, with its own information and recruitment stall.

People aged between 18 and 35 can be included in the national bone marrow donor registry. The registry is the key tool for identifying potential compatible donors when finding them within the family has not been possible. Bone marrow cell transplant can cure diseases such as thalassaemia, leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and, in some cases, solid tumours and autoimmune diseases. 

This coming Christmas, Admo will also be present to collect donations and distribute panettone and pandoro, the traditional Italian Christmas puddings.
