On Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at the Tor di Quinto ‘SapienzaSport’ facility, Sapienza University of Rome and the University of Rome Foro Italico present Women in Sport Day.

The initiative promotes physical activity, preventive healthcare and female empowerment. Its aim is to enhance the role of sport as a tool for growth, inclusion and health protection. This event provides an opportunity for the academic community, healthcare professionals, and the sporting world to come together and exchange ideas, thereby strengthening universities' commitment to promoting a culture of sport and gender equality. 
The programme includes over 10 physical activity and sports stations, specialist consultations (gynaecology, breast health, proctology, psychology and general surgery), talks and testimonials from women in sport, Kids Athletics activities for children and a women's 4x100m relay race.
