Architecture Theories Construction
Il progetto di ricerca concorrerà, assieme alla prova scritta, a definire il punteggio minimo per accedere alla prova orale.
The PhD Program in Architecture: Theory and Construction aims to achieve objectives structured across three main areas: disciplinary, educational and methodological. 1. Disciplinary Content Within the PhD program, research fields will focus on the relationships between theoretical development, spatial thinking and design experimentation, investigated at urban, architectural and interior scale, including the components of the built environment and the evaluation of building impact on territories. The project, in its threefold formal, theoretical, and technical dimension, plays an operational role in analyzing and interpreting collective needs and environmental, social, and economic effects. The PhD aims to stimulate the ability to produce original, in-depth, and scientifically relevant contributions, within the disciplinary sectors proper of the Doctorate course, fostering among them continuous interaction and comparison. 2. Advanced Training The PhD program aims to develop in Ph.D. candidates: _ ability to identify and manage sources within a theoretical-disciplinary framework; _ skills in academic writing in scientific contexts; _ competencies in constructing and using bibliography; _ ability to master methodological tools necessary for structuring research topics; _ skills in communicating scientific results appropriately to different audiences, such as through reports and presentations in scientific contexts; _ competencies in transmitting the specific content of design disciplines in educational settings. 3. Research Methodology Research methodology is based on the ability to provide qualified and specialized responses to research and public institutions, to professional practices and companies operating in the construction and infrastructure sectors. Engagement with emerging themes in national and international scientific-cultural debate will serve as a starting point for analytical and knowledge-based investigations, which may also develop through field-investigation. The goal is to formulate design hypotheses capable of addressing complex and specific issues. Program Organization To achieve these objectives, the PhD program is structured on a credit system totaling 180 ECTS credits, typically divided into 60 credits per year. Activities contributing to credit acquisition include: _ Participation in conferences, seminars, and workshops _ Preparation of assignments within seminars or workshops _ Meetings and discussions with the Faculty Board _ Teaching internships within courses and design studios _ Participation in architecture competitions, study trips, internships, and conferences _ Publication of research results in books or scientific journals _ Internships at research institutions
