Directorate General staff

Structure chaired by an official with a high level of organisational autonomy and responsibility, who assumes the role of Manager of the Directorate General Staff and who is responsible for: supporting the overall management of services, instrumental resources and technical-administrative staff; coordinated and joint planning, as well as initiating and monitoring the activities of the units and services of the Directorate General Staff.

Director General’s Personal Office - responsibilities

The Office manages:

  • The Director General's institutional correspondence in coordination with the Administrative Office;
  • The Director General's agenda;
  • Meetings, institutional obligations and travel for the Director General;
  • Institutional relations with Sapienza's Governance, Management areas, Faculties, Departments, other Cost Centres and with institutions, bodies and other external parties;
  • Institutional relations with the Convegno dei Direttori generali delle Amministrazioni Universitarie (CODAU);
  • Personnel attendance management;
  • Any other Personal Office tasks.

Administrative Office - responsibilities

The Office manages:

  • Support in the coordination of the Management Areas and in the overall management of services, instrumental resources and technical-administrative staff;
  • Support in the direction, coordination and control, as far as the General Management is concerned, of the activities relating to Sapienza’s programmatic documents;
  • Legislative updates and legal-economic studies of interest to the university system and public administration, for the general aspects falling within the competence of the Directorate General;
  • Drafting and preparation of materials (reports, analyses, speeches, multimedia content, etc.) for the Director General's participation in conferences, events, meetings, project activities, etc., in agreement with the Director General’s Personal Office;
  • Control of the acts brought to the attention of the Director General;
  • Support in the management of the in-staff Structures and of Administrative Areas temporarily managed ad interim;
  • Management of institutional relations with Governance, Management Areas, Faculties, Departments, other Sapienza's Cost Centres, and with institutions, bodies and other external parties;
  • Management of institutional correspondence, in coordination with the Director General’s Personal Office;
  • Any other task related to the management activities of the Director General.

General services - responsibilities

General services manage:

  • Rectorate antechamber service;
  • Car driving service (management of service car reservations of the Central Administration; management of authorizations and related missions of personnel assigned to the car driving service of the Central Administration);
  • Any other possible service related to the activities of the Directorate General’s staff.
