Educational Manager's Office - Educational Offer Planning
The University Educational Manager, a high-ranking official who directly cooperates with the Academic Programmes and Education Welfare Area Director, represents the link between Faculties, Degree Programmes and the aforementioned Area, by addressing, coordinating and supporting the activities of each Faculty Educational Manager.
The University Educational Manager:
- Provides support to the Deputy Rector for Educational Activities and the governance of Faculties and Degree Programmes in designing and managing of educational initiatives;
- Handles relations with the University Quality Assurance Committee and the University Evaluation Committee, regarding the accreditation procedures of Degree Programmes and the various quality assurance procedures (consistently with national and European guidelines);
- Is a permanent member and administrative point of reference of the University Didactic Commission;
- Cooperates with other Offices or Areas regarding technical or regulatory aspects of any teaching-related issue;
- Oversees both the initial and periodical accreditation procedures of PhDs and graduate schools, in conjunction with the Post-graduate Diplomas, State Exams and Specialisation Schools Office.
The Educational Manager's Office also manages activities related to:
- Institution, activation and deactivation of Level I and II Degree Programmes through continuous assistance in the drafting of the SUA-CdS and other related databases, in accordance with the procedures defined by MUR, CUN and ANVUR;
- Institution of Level I and II Degree Programmes already activated in conjunction with other Italian and/or international universities;
- Agreements for teaching and national/international inter-university Degree Programmes;
- Agreements for activating Degree Programmes, including those related to the health professions;
- Cooperation with the Orientation, Tutoring, Placement and Mobility Office in negotiating bilateral and multilateral agreements for the award of double, multiple and/or joint degrees aimed at strengthening student mobility opportunities in Non-EU countries;
- Handling and implementation of information technology systems with the aim of managing Degree Programmes, Faculties' Manifestos and educational planning;
- Public disclosure of Level I and II educational offers through the Course Catalogue;
- Management and updating of the University Didactic Regulation;
- Evaluation of the compliance of Excellence Pathways Regulations;
- Management of procedures aimed at the determination of educational potential for Degree Programmes with programmed access;
- Coordination and evaluation of the Faculties' Manifestos;
- Preliminary assessment regarding the adequacy of the professional scientific curriculum of the Highly Qualified Experts proposed for the awarding of teaching contracts and the allocation of paid contracts;
- Collaboration with HR regarding teaching reporting procedures and researcher payments;
- Management and updating of the Minor Regulation.

The Office contributes to the drafting of the document "University Policies and Planning of the Course Catalogue", which defines, in agreement with the provisions of the University Strategic Plan, Sapienza's strategy related to the planning of the yearly Course Catalogue.
