Exemptions for students with disabilities
Art.15 Exemptions for students with disabilities
1. Students (enrolled in years subsequent to the first) with a recognised level of disability equal to or greater than 66% are required to pay €29.00 as reimbursement for enrolment expenses and do not pay the regional fee. The same students must file or send a copy of the disability certificate indicating the percentage of disability at the Sportello per i diritti delle persone disabili or at their Student affairs office. Alternatively, the certificate of disability can be sent by raccomandata con ricevuta di ritorno (registered mail with return receipt) to the Sportello per le persone disabili (for information please contact toll-free number 800-410960). It is compulsory to submit the certificate in full, as it is a condition for the granting of subsidised benefits. The certificate cannot be replaced by judicial decisions.
2. In order to print out the €29.00 payment slip, students must declare their disability status and type on Infostud.
3. For students enrolled in years subsequent to the first year, the benefit takes effect from the moment the application is submitted and cannot be retroactive.
4. Students who take advantage of subsidised benefits for recognised disability equal to or greater than 66% pay fees at the reduced rate of €29.00 (excluding regional tax) but are required to pay any fines and penalties (at the ordinary rate) for late or non-payment.
5. Pursuant to article 38 of Law Decree no. 78 of 31.5.2010, the data of the persons who have benefited from the subsidised benefits referred to in this article will be communicated to INPS.
