MUR – PRIN 2026 Call for Proposals for the funding of research projects of significant national interest

Deadline: June 1, 2026, 3.00 pm

The programme funds three-year projects which, due to their complexity and nature, require collaboration between multiple research units.

The guiding principles of PRIN 2026 are:

• the promotion of scientific excellence, impact and efficiency in the implementation of projects;
• support for proposals across all areas of research;
• the adequacy of the financial support provided by the MUR.
• The funding allocated for each project ranges from €1,000,000 to €1,200,000.

Project proposals, which must be written exclusively in English, must be submitted from 3.00 pm on April 17, 2026. Deadline: June 1, 2026 at 3 pm.
