Printing certificates

You can print official Sapienza certificates from Infostud.

Notes on certificates

Certificates can only be showed to privates and can’t be required by public administration or private authorities involved in public services. (Law n. 183/2011)

Thus, students who, for example, need a certificate for public authorities such as other universities must present a self-certification.

Diploma Supplement and Certified Translations

For students from the university systems DM 509/99 and DM 270/04 it’s possible download a particular document called Diploma Supplement in Italian, English or Italian and English.

It can be required at the Administrative Affairs Office.

The Diploma Supplement is not a certified translation.

For a certified translation you need to:

  • Ask at the Affairs Office a Revenue Stamp for countries overseas (signed by an official of La Sapienza with a signature filed in the prefecture);
  • Ask to the prefecture foreign legalization
  • Have your diplomas and certificates translated by a Sworn Translator registered in the Italy Register of Courts or in the lists of sworn translators of the Consulates or Embassies of the destination countries.
