Annual Master in China Studies at Peking University, fully taught in English.

The program, which is open to candidates with:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in any field; currently enrolled degree program awarded no later than August 31 of the year in which they wish to enroll;
• An outstanding academic record;
• Strong interest in interdisciplinary study of China;
• A record of extracurricular achievement, community engagement, social responsibility, and leadership potential;
• English proficiency.

offers the possibility to choose between 6 different specializations:

• Philosophy and Religion;
• History and Archeology;
• Literature and Culture;
• Economics and Management;
• Law and Society;
• Politics and International Relations

Those admitted to the master will receive a scholarship to fully cover the planned activities (taxes, board, and lodging).

How to apply

Sapienza students must send their application to the International Office (erasmusworld@uniroma1.it) specifying in the subject "Yenching Academy - Application Form" starting from 15 August 2021 and no later than 26 November 2021 enclosing the following documents:

• Personal statement (750 words or less);
• Research proposal (1500 words or less, excluding citations);
• Curriculum vitae (maximum 2 pages);
• Official transcript(s);
• List of exams taken* + translation in English (see model) **
• Diploma(s) or Certificate(s) of Enrollment***;
• Two letters of recommendation (Peking University will only accept recommendation letters written by full professors or associate professors, or equivalent titles);
• Knowledge of English must be proved through one or more of the following certifications with at least the following scores:
  IELTS: 7
  TOEFL: 100
  Cambridge: 185
  CEFR: C1
  
  TOEFL and IELTS English proficiency tests must be taken after September 1, 2020. Currently, we do not accept TOEFL MyBest Scores.
