1. Payment with PagoPA. Payments of tuition fees are made via PagoPA, after generating the payment on Infostud. Information and operating procedures can be found at https://www.uniroma1.it/en/pagina/payment.
Payments made using methods other than those indicated are not permitted. Using other methods could generate technical problems for the recognition of the payment made and for all procedures related to the payment itself.
2. Pay attention to the ISEE value. In order to pay tuition fees based on the Isee value, it is necessary to have requested and obtained the Isee 2024 calculation for the right to academic education at a Caf (Tax Advice Centre) or on the Inps website. For tuition fees relating to the academic year 2024-2025, it is also possible to acquire the Isee for the right to academic education calculated on the basis of the Isee at the current value, if available in the Inps database. Before generating payment of tuition fees, it is necessary to grant Sapienza University, through the Infostud system, authorisation to acquire the Isee 2024 for the right to academic education from the Inps database. The system automatically acquires the latter if the database contains the Isee calculated at the current value. For further details on the Isee value and deadlines, see also arts. 19 and 20. With reference to candidates who declare income received abroad, please refer to Art. 16, subsection 5 of these Regulations.
3. Pay attention to exemptions and reliefs. Before generating payment, it is also required to declare (on the Infostud information system) any conditions for obtaining exemptions from enrolment fees under Articles 21, 22, 23, 25, 27, and 28 of these Regulations.
4. Tax deductions on tuition fees. The Budget Law 2020 of December 27, 2019, stipulated that as of January 1, 2020, in order to be able to benefit from tax deductions on the costs of attending university education courses, payments must be made in traceable ways.
Therefore, it will no longer be possible to claim tax deductions if university tuition fees are paid in cash (Law No. 160, Article 1, Paragraph 679 of December 27, 2019).
