Please note: the deadline for submitting project proposals under the Bando di finanziamento per progetti di cooperazione con Paesi in via di sviluppo – 2025, which expired on February 2, has been reopened from March 2, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. to March 20, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

The Department Committee's decision must be made no later than 11:59 a.m. on March 20, 2026.

Applications submitted before the IT systems were shut down have been correctly recorded and therefore do not need to be resubmitted.

All other provisions of the call for applications remain in force.

On November 20, 2025, the Bando di finanziamento per progetti di cooperazione con Paesi in via di sviluppo (in Italian) 2025 was issued, aimed at joint research and educational activities, capacity and institutional building, as well as professional development and training activities.

The total allocation is €240,000.00.

The funding for each project is €15,000.00, for a total of 16 grants, divided as follows:

• 2 grants for each of the six scientific-disciplinary macro-areas (for a total of 12 grants);
• 2 grants for projects of particular strategic and/or emergency interest;
• 2 grants for projects of particular emergency interest with institutions based in Palestine.
