On June 15, 2022, the Accademia dei Lincei will be hosting a special edition of the Colloquia on Science Diplomacy about security and peace.

United Nations Under-Secretary-General of Disarmament Affairs Izumi Nakamitsu will deliver a lecture entitled "Global Security and Disarmament Agenda at Crossroads: a Fragmented World or a Cohesive Future?"

After the lecture, Wolfango Plastino, coordinator of the Colloquia on Science Diplomacy, will moderate the round table. Nakamitsu, Marie-Louise Nosch from the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters and Giorgio Parisi, Nobel laureate in Physics, former president of the Lincei and Sapienza professor, will participate.

The event will be broadcast live by Rai Cultura, in Italian.
