Earlier on Wednesday, September 22, the Faculty of Economics held a ceremony to name lecture hall no. 5 after Federico Caffè for his scientific, educational, organisational, social and moral contributions to Sapienza.
Federico Caffè was one of the leading Italian economists and the foremost exponent of Keynesian thought in Italy. He devoted his studies to macroeconomic policies and welfare economics, focusing on equity issues and the promotion of the disadvantaged social classes.
