The Forest city, an international conference on nature and cities

On May 28 and 29, the Carabinieri Corps organised an international conference with the participation of several Sapienza professors to highlight the important role of forests in the city as a new approach to promoting urban and human regeneration

On May 29 and 30, the National Library's auditorium will be hosting the international conference "The Forest City" organised by the Carabinieri Corps, with the participation of several Sapienza professors.
The aim of the meeting is to highlight the important role of urban forests, as a new approach to promoting urban and human regeneration. In this perspective, urban forests can contribute to both mitigating and adapting to climate change, with positive effects on the health and quality of life of citizens, as well as playing a vital and strategic role in urban development policies for building resilient cities.

The two-day event is structured in four symposia and two round tables with talks by distinguished Italian and international speakers, scientific experts and representatives from institutions, international organisations, universities and research centres, as well as environmental educators, civil society and the media.
