Rector Antonella Polimeni expresses, on behalf of herself and the entire Sapienza community, her deepest sympathies for the untimely death of Carlo Meloni, Professor of Management Engineering at the 'Antonio Ruberti' Department of Computer, Control and Management Engineering (DIAG).

Meloni was an outstanding lecturer and researcher. He focused his academic and professional interests on the study of methods and applications of operations research. He also authored numerous scientific papers included in international conferences and publications. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 18, at 3 pm at Villa Nazareth in Via Domenico Tardini in Rome.
