Happy Birthday Sapienza! 720th anniversary of the foundation of the Studium Urbis
On Thursday, April 20, in the Rectorate building's Aula Magna, the university community celebrated the 720th anniversary of the foundation of Sapienza. Rector Antonella Polimeni opened the event followed by the award ceremony of the ERC and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions 2022 winning researchers as well as the students who have achieved prestigious sporting results. Amleto Cataldo's restored monument commemorating the students who died in the Great War was presented and unveiled, followed by a musical interlude by MuSa String Quartet with pieces by Mozart and Verdi.
