On Friday, November 20, the Multimedia Hall of the Rectorate Building hosted a ceremony and videoconference for the issue of the stamp celebrating the 75th anniversary of the University Concert Institution. The Polygraphic Institute and State Mint printed the postage stamp issued by Poste Italiane.

After the introduction by the Rector Eugenio Gaudio, the President of Iuc Rinaldo Gentile illustrated the motivations that determined the prestigious award. Following the figurative stamp of the first day of issue was affixed and the docufilm "In Ascolto", by Benedetto Sanfilippo on the history of the Institution, produced by Iuc in collaboration with Sapienza Labs (Laboratorio audiovisivo per lo Spettacolo) was presented. The event, organised by the Sapienza Crea centre, was moderated by Franco Piperno, director of Crea and Rector's delegate for University Cultural Activities. The newly elected Rector Antonella Polimeni took part in the event also broadcast on the Sapienza YouTube channel.

The stamp, designed by the sketch artist Loretana Alivernini, displays the Iuc and Sapienza logos,  orange and red respectively, in a composition with some musical instruments, on a light green background, with 6 colours altogether, and is printed on 90-grammage white coated paper. The print run is 300 thousand copies.

The postage stamp can be purchased on the website www.poste.it, in the philately area of the main Italian Post offices and at the Post Office Roma 62 in our Main Campus.
