On Friday, January 8, at 5 pm, Minerva Lab Sapienza and Noi Rete Donne will be holding an online meeting dedicated to Ursula Hirschmann. The event marks the 30th anniversary of her death. It is organised under the European Movement's patronage and in collaboration with the Liaison Office in Italy of the European Parliament.

Ursula Hirschmann is a leading figure in the history of the European integration process who invested a large part of her life in constructing a united Europe that has often been forgotten. Only in recent decades has her contribution been rediscovered.

However, the meeting will go beyond: there are other women worthy of mention in the process of European integration. But is their message still relevant? This question has already been addressed by some scholars, among whom we mention: Silvana Boccanfuso, biographer of Ursula Hirschmann; Maria Pia Di Nonno, promoter of a research project on the Founding Mothers of Europe and an expert on Fausta Deshormes La Valle; Antonella Braga, an expert on Ada Rossi and Luisa Usellini; Francesca Lacaita, an expert on Anna Siemsen; Federica Di Sarcina, researching in the historical/legal evolution of European women's rights.
