On October 3, the new laboratories of the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology were inaugurated. The event was attended by Rector Antonella Polimeni, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology, Fabio Lucidi, and the General Director of the Sant'Andrea University Hospital, Daniela Donetti.

The laboratories significantly enhance Sapienza’s biomedical research potential, thanks to state-of-the-art equipment for gene sequencing, electron microscopy and much more.

More importantly, the organisational model allows all research groups to share space and facilities in a fully collaborative way. This will further strengthen the already considerable scientific collaboration between the Faculty's three departments and lay the foundations for fostering new and even greater synergies between the departments themselves, the University Hospitals, industry and patient groups.
