The European Commission has recently approved the project "RIS4CIVIS - Research and Innovation Strategy for the CIVIS Alliance", presented by members of the CIVIS European University Alliance as part of the "SWAFS" call in the Horizon 2020 programme.
The project will support the Research and Innovation (R&I) dimension of the CIVIS European University, through a shared, integrated, long-term and didactically related strategy.
The main purpose is to develop a joint R&I strategy for the consortium in order to share research infrastructures, strengthen human capital, disseminate Open Science practices and reinforce the cooperation with the economic sector and civil society.
The European University initiative has the ambition to strengthen the connection between education and research by creating an institution capable of facing the global challenges of the future.
The project will last 36 months and will be coordinated by the Aix-Marseille Université. Sapienza will lead the module "Sharing research infrastructures". The total contribution from the European Commission will be about 2 million euros.
